COMM 603: Quantitative Research Methods in Communication

This is an online synchronous course that meets on Mondays from 5:30 – 8:15 PM Central / 6:30 – 9:15 PM Eastern.

This course will introduce students to principles of social scientific research and research designs with a focus on their applications in media and communication research. Each student is expected to specialize in one of the common social scientific research methods, design, and complete a project proposal under guidance from the instructor.  This is not a statistics class although we will discuss the use of statistics and the importance of statistical consideration in research designs.
