COMM 614: Conflict Management

This course includes an introduction to conflict management and mediation techniques with workplace, interpersonal, community and cultural applications. The basic mediation skills presented prepare students to mediate in a variety of situations.
Through this course, students will understand a variety of ways to think about conflict and conflict management, practice implementing conflict management skills, and learn about the management of difference.
Participants will explore unique conflict management approaches through diverse cultures and their mediation/peacemaking practices and will learn about the basic process and principles of mediation.
