COMM 633: Social Media

This is an online synchronous course that meets Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:30 PM Central / 5:00 – 7:30 PM Eastern.

This social media management course will be an upper-level course dedicated to exploring the new emerging technologies and mediums influencing business, marketing, public relations, and advertising practices and research. This course will acquaint you with the practical knowledge and analytical skills necessary to create, evaluate, and execute social media and mobile campaigns. This course will also provide lectures, iconic and current case studies using social media and mobile, group and individual assignments, and engaged activities that will help you develop a strong social media skill set to take to future job and/or internship interviews in your respective field of study.

Term: This is a Full Semester course. Participants may register for one Full Semester course OR one course each in Fall I and Fall II.

Prerequisite(s): Licensed to teach secondary communications/speech in Indiana
