ENGL 551: Introduction to Creative Writing

Designed for graduate students with little or no previous creative writing experience, this course will teach students the basic techniques of the craft of creative writing of fiction and poetry, though the course may include drama and nonfiction.

Though taught in a workshop format that emphasizes student writing, it also will focus on the work of contemporary writers for inspiration and technique.

This is an online synchronous course that meets Monday evenings from 5-7:50 pm Central / 6-8:50 pm Eastern.
