ENGL 580: Critical Edition

In this course, students will develop their skills as critical readers of text and become familiar with editorial processes and decision-making. Students in this class will read, research, transcribe, and annotate an out-of-print book from the 19th century (title: Vampire! [1893]) in order to produce a critical edition. This course is one of several geared toward producing an illustrated scholarly edition of this text.
