ENGL 60500: Computers, Language, and Rhetoric

This course examines the role of computer technologies and digital media as a shaping force in the teaching of writing and literacy in general. We will approach this topic from both a theoretical and pedagogical standpoint.
Course objectives include:
1. Understand the learning processes of students, their digital identities, and how they have been shaped and influenced by digital media.
2. Develop strategies for teaching/assessing digital texts in conjunction with alphabetic texts.
