HIST 530: The Vietnam War (University of Southern Indiana)

This course was previously called HIST 598: The Vietnam War.


The Vietnam War was fought in Southeast Asia and remains a war fought over by historians and politicians. In this class, students will learn about the war itself, the historiographical debates among scholars, and war memory, memorialization, and the war’s legacy.
